Umu Igbo Alliance is a Chicago-based organization with a twofold mission:
1) To provide a home for diasporic Igbos to meet, network, and form lasting relationships, and
2) To maintain our culture, heritage and language within the Igbo community.
Umu Igbo Alliance is a fully functional organization comprised of Young Igbo Professionals, 18-35 years old. Our ranks consist of doctoral, medical, law, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, and engineering students, among various others, and also includes professionals in those same and additional occupations. The organization hosts several of the most upscale events in the Chicagoland area where we meet, network and strengthen our cultural ties. In addition to sophisticated social events, UIA has several community service initiatives designed to assist Ndiigbo in Nigeria and cultural events where we express immense pride in our Igbo heritage.
Visit our Web site often for upcoming events, and activities. We hope you’ll join with us to continue the path to success paved by our forefathers.
